I have always wanted a nosering, but have always worked in healthcare and the two just don't work well together. Well, now that I am a stay at home mama I can do what ever I want, and I love it!

Elijah is teething! Drooling, chewing everything, fussing, all of the classic symptoms. I do not feel comfortable medicating him too much so have been on the lookout for natural remedies, which is why he is wearing a necklace. Well, it is a natural Baltic amber teething necklace and it WORKS. When he wears it he is definitely much more happy. Amber is a natural resin that is millions of years old, when worn against the skin it is heated up and releases succinic acid which is a pain reliever. Do I sound crazy or what? I don't care my baby is happy... most of the time.

We live in the coolest hood! A couple of weeks ago some neighbors hosted a party for all of the young folks that live in "old town", there were about 140 people. It was wonderful getting to know some new friends and there beautiful children. The party was a hit and even made the front page of the Williamson County Sun, including a pic of yours truly.
carrots are the best!
So I have decided to make all of Elijah's baby food, it is very gratifying. So far he is loving carrots, sweet potatoes, green beans, and pears. If you couldn't tell by his MANY rolls eating is his favorite. He loves to sit in his highchair and gaze out into the backyard in between bites.

Can you believe Elijah is six months old!! He is sitting up on his own (ok, so maybe it is only for a few seconds), drooling, laughing, and rolling over. As soon as we get the roll on video I will post. He is such a joy even when he is fussing about his sore gums
